TV Discussion: December 2014 - January 2015

Hello fellow TV Addicts!  As always, this is our place to discuss all non-recapped shows.  Due to all of the mid-season hiatuses, this should hold us over to later in January or early February, but we'll play it by ear.

Happy Holidays and see you in the comments!

The Walking Dead: Season 5 Episode 8 - Coda

Hello everyone and welcome to the mid-season finale recap for The Walking Dead!  Well, it's something we thought we saw coming for 4 seasons and when it finally happened, no one saw it coming!  It was a pretty intense capper for the 7 episodes that preceded it.  Everyone split up and converged by the end of the 8 episodes.  I'm still trying to figure out if specific episodes were worth it considering what the end result was.  But, that's The Walking Dead, right?  It certainly was entertaining and that's why we tune in every Sunday!  Let's dive into the discussion.

The Walking Dead: Season 5 Episode 7 - Crossed

Hello everyone and welcome back to our Walking Dead discussion!  We're getting closer and closer to a Rick/Dawn showdown, and as most of us probably assumed it'll happen in the mid-season finale next week.  But, this episode certainly covered a lot of ground and once again drove home an important fact about still being alive this far into a zombie apocalypse: TRUST NO ONE!  Or, at least, be careful who you decide to trust.  While we spent the last few episodes in isolated storylines, I'll admit this was refreshing to check in on every group of survivors to get people in place for episode 8.  But, in general, I still like the isolated storyline approach as well.  Anyway, let's dive into the discussion points!

Hello fellow TV Addicts! As always, this is our place to discuss all non-recapped shows. See you in the comments!

The Walking Dead: Season 5 Episode 6 - Consumed

Welcome back all to our coverage of The Walking Dead!  This has easily been my favorite season of the show so far, and it showed no signs of deterioration last night...well...besides rotting reanimated corpses being roadblocks for 2 of our favorite heroes!  Following suit with the last couple episodes, and the 2nd half of last season we only followed one storyline throughout the hour and it was stronger for it.  As we figured, the episode caught us up on what Daryl and Carol have been up to, but it did even more than that with some choice glimpses at Carol's "burning" past.  Let's dive in and discuss.

The Walking Dead: Season 5 Episode 5 - Self-Help

Hello everyone and welcome back to our Walking Dead chat!  Well, chalk up another hour of excellent television in the books.  This episode focused on our Washington-bound crew, most specifically giving us a peak behind what makes Abraham tick.  Now, I usually don't spoil anything in the opening paragraph, but I just have to ask.  We didn't REALLY think they'd make it to Washington did we?  Let's dive in!

The Walking Dead: Season 5 Episode 4 - Slabtown

Hello all and welcome back to our discussion of The Walking Dead!  We've been begging for years for it and it finally happened.  I remember thinking back in season 2, "that girl that attempted suicide has some real acting potential.  She needs her own centric episode where practically none of the main cast are in the episode!"  We got close last year with the Daryl/Beth in the woods episode, but nothing compares to this one.  It happened. We got our Beth-a-sode!   Obviously, I kid.  If we ever thought there was a weak link in the cast, it certainly has been Beth.  That said, this was a really good episode and Beth wasn't too bad herself!  I liked that they went the route of showing what happened to Beth from the moment of abduction and slowly catching us back up to where Daryl arrived back to the church with someone or someones still unknown to us.  It think it's pretty clear that we're potentially learning about some new characters to join team Rick or possibly antagonize team Rick in the future. Let's dive into the discussion.

The Walking Dead: Season 5 Episode 3 - Four Walls and a Roof

Hello friends and welcome back to our coverage of The Walking Dead!  I was able to squeeze in the episode late last night but it's safe to say that I'm still working on this work/life/blogging balance with 2 kiddos under 3 needing my prioritized attention!  That said, no need for a big preamble here.  The episode was pretty awesome, so let's just dive into the discussion.

Hello everyone and welcome back to The Walking Dead!  I'd love to join in on the discussion with a recap today, but it just wasn't in the cards.  Not to rat out my kids, but combined they were awake until past midnight last night and my eyelids just would not cooperate!  I will watch tonight and join the discussion late.  But please don't wait up.  Use the comment section to get the conversation started.  I appreciate everyone's understanding of my ever evolving blogging habits.  See you in the comments!

The Walking Dead: Season 5 Episode 1 - No Sanctuary

The Walking Dead has finally returned!  And wow, what a way to kick things off.  I've always enjoyed this shows through its various showrunners, choices of pace and various focuses on character depth.  I've always dropped my jaw at shocking events and bit my nails in suspense.  But, I think this is the first time that I found the show emotionally affecting me.  Maybe I'm a sucker for a reunion episode with manipulative music playing in the background, but I sure was happy to see the gang back together again.  Scott Gimple has taken his time building story arcs that pay off over the long run and this cliffhanging resolution episode is a perfect example of one of those payoffs.  The Walking Dead is a better show for it now and I'm glad to be revisiting the land of the non-living!  Let's dive in to the things I felt worth mentioning (or that I ripped off from watching Talking Dead)!

TV Discussion: Week of 9/21/2014 - 9/27/2014

Fall 2014 TV is here!  This is our weekly place to discuss all non-recapped shows.  Of course, the next recapped show isn't resuming until October (The Walking Dead), so this is a place to discuss any show you want until then!

Today is 9/22, so I must say Happy 10 Years of LOST Fandom!  Always a good opportunity to go back and read a few old recaps to commemorate the occasion!  If I see any links celebrating the 10 years of LOST, I will be sure to share them.

I always realized that LOST and FRIENDS started 10 years apart from each other, but never realized they premiered on the same day either.  So for any FRIENDS fanatics out there, happy 20 years of fandom!

We are getting old, friends!  And with that happy note, I'll see you in the comments!

TV Discussion: Summer of 2014 Part 2

Okay, the thread was getting a little long, so if we were ever going to have a part 2 now's the time!  This is a place where we can continue to talk all television through the summer.  This thread will probably last us until the fall onslaught of new and returning programming starts.  See you in the comments!

TV Discussion: Summer 2014 Part 1

Hello fellow TV Addicts!  This is our Summer Discussion Thread to discuss all TV.  No recaps for the foreseeable future so let's just add comments here until it gets too big.  Then I'll post another one!  See you in the comments!

NOTE: We're onto PAGE 2 of comments now!  Let me know if you want me to post a new thread!

Game of Thrones: Season 4 Episode 10 - The Children

Hello fellow Westerosians, Essosians, Children of the Forest and all other creatures north of the Realm!  Welcome to our season 4 finale coverage of Game of Thrones!  WOW, that is how you end a fantastic TV season!  Of course, with the finale of A Storm of Swords, this season practically wrote itself.  They captured a lot of the essence of those final pages of the book in this episode, they captured some new for television encounters, but they left out a couple things that I was pretty surprised about.  The fact that they were left out is starting to give me an idea of storylines they may cut out of the show all together due to trying to compress the next 2 books into possibly 1 season.  Rumor has it that the show will only go 7 or 8 seasons regardless of the status of the final 2 (or more) books on the way.  So, things need to be cut. Characters, storylines, etc...  Anyway, we can debate that a little bit in the recap and more in the comments.  But until then, let's get this show on the road!

Spoiler Disclaimer:  I have read all 5 books of A Song of Ice and Fire.  I am diligent in trying not to spoil the TV Only Viewers.  I will note all spoilers with a Spoiler Warning, and will most likely save them for the comments of this thread.  I do, however, like to compare events from the book with events that resemble the books on the show.  This could be difficult in this recap because certain things were cut out of key events that I'm not sure if they plan to cover them!   I'll be careful.  Let's go!

Game of Thrones: Season 4 Episode 9 - The Watchers on the Wall

Hello fellow Westerosians and men of the Night's Watch!  Game of Thrones is well known for pulling out all of the stops in their 9th episodes.  Season 1, we lost our protagonist Ned Stark.  Season 2, Neil Marshall came in and directed the hell out of the Battle of Blackwater.  Season 3, TV fans were introduced to the Red Wedding.  This season is capping off the most intense book in George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire and has been flooded with crazy episodes and moments.  But alas, they may have topped Blackwater with this episode and they gave us The Battle at Castle Black (directed by Marshall again)!  It was, in short, amazingly produced with a TV sized budget.  Now, the Night's Watch/North story is not necessarily the most interesting storyline for fans of the show but it's incredibly important for where this story is headed.  And trust me, if you're still looking for twists and turns and a "9th episode" feel for this season you may get a few of them in the finale!  I've been saying for a couple years now that book 3 of the series was jammed packed with plot developments and was an amazing read.  Anyway, I can keep rambling on here or get into the recap of this battle!

My note on spoilers is always the same.  I don't intentionally seek to spoil non-book readers (granted, teases like I did above are hard to contain).  If I am going to write something spoilery, I will save it for the comments and note it with a huge spoiler warning.  That said, if a plot does happen on the show that resembles something from the book, I do like to compare that in my write-up.  Now that we have that out of the way, let's dive in!

TV Discussion: Week of 6/8/2014 - 6/14/2014

Hello TV Addicts! This is our weekly place to discuss all non-recapped shows. Game of Thrones will have its own discussion area/mini recap. After that show ends, I'll probably just post a Summer Discussion thread. See you in the comments!

Game of Thrones: Season 4 Episode 8 - The Mountain and The Viper

Hello fellow Westerosians and welcome back to the Game of Thrones!  THAT. WAS. AWESOME!  The whole episode was fantastic, but the Trial By Combat exceeded my expectations!  It certainly is difficult to withhold information like that for Non-Book Readers (I'm told the term across the interwebs is "The Unsullied"), but totally worth it when you get to experience it for the first time.   And of course book readers get to see these things they imagined in their heads come to life.  Game of Thrones has a good batting average of not disappointing in my opinion.   Anyway, we're getting ahead of ourselves.  Let's dive into the quick recap!

SPOILER ADVISORY: As always, I'm always very protective for the "Unsullied" non-book readers and only speak of book plots when the events occur in the TV Show.  I like to speak to differences between the show and book but I will never intentionally spoil upcoming plots.  If I do, the spoiler warnings will be clearly labeled.

TV Discusion: Week of 6/1/2014 - 6/7/2014

Revolution: Season 2 Episode 22 - Declaration of Independence

Hello and welcome back for the last time to the Revolution!  It was a decent show that got a very surprising 2nd chance.  It was a 2nd chance that gave us hope that we never should've had that it might be able to stick around for awhile.  It certainly improved over the 2 years as it was allowed time to figure out what works best, but the viewers were already gone by the time they figured it out.  The series finale certainly had moments that made it feel final, but it was really just bringing closure to the season 2 arcs and maybe some of the season 1 stuff.   But, clearly they left things open for future stories.  The cliffhanger pretty much indicated what we had already speculated would be the larger battle of the show.  My guess is that Kripke and crew wrote the finale knowing that it probably could be the end, but with a glimmer of hope that they could get renewed or picked up by another channel/service.  I just don't think there will be enough demand to make that happen though.   So, I promised that I would write a recap of this show and I'll do a very brief one.  But, obviously there's not much point speculating on a show that is over!  Here we go:

Game of Thrones: Season 4 Episode 7 - Mockingbird

Hello fellow Westerosians and welcome back to our Game of Thrones discussion!  We had another fantastic episode last night.  Most of the episode was setting up some major plot developments for the final 3 episodes, which I've heard are nothing short of amazing.  It may get tiresome to hear, but having read the books, I'm a little bit "in-the-know" of how much is left to cover in those 3 episodes and can pretty much figure out how they're going to sparse it out.  Normally there is a 9th episode to look forward to every season where something crazy is going to happen.  I'd go ahead and expect excitement in 8, 9 and 10 this year!   Of course, that doesn't exclude the 7th episode that we just watched.  Many speculated the ending sequence in this episode would have been the final moment we would see this season.  I can think of several others that can/will surpass it.  Anyway, enough preamble.

Spoiler Warning: As always, I will compare the TV Show to the Books for material that has been covered by the TV show.  I will indicate "SPOILERS" very clearly when I want to talk about upcoming book stuff.  The trend has been that I won't do this until the comments section!  But, if I feel like it's worth bringing something up in the recap, I will label it.

 Let's dive in!

Revolution: Season 2 Episode 21 - Memorial Day (Discussion)

Hello and welcome back to a very short lived Revolution!  I regret to inform you of a couple things. First, I am still out of town with the newborn so am unable to provide a recap for Revolution this week.  Also, I'm sure you have heard by now that the show has been canceled by NBC and will not return for another season.  There's always hope of a save from Netflix, Hulu or someone else, but due to the lack of buzz around the show I wouldn't count on it.  I still hope to provide some kind of recap for the finale next week.  But for now, I will just have to join you in the discussion below when I get a chance.  See you next week!

Game of Thrones: Season 4 Episode 6 - The Laws of Gods and Men (Discussion)

Hello all and welcome back to Game of Thrones!  As previously warned, I unfortunately am out of town this week showing off the new baby girl to family and friends.  So, I'm unable to recap Game of Thrones this week.  I hope you understand and will hopefully join you in the comments at some point this week.

Please stick to usual Book Spoiler standards and warn if you're going to discuss the book!

Thanks and see you next week!

Revolution: Season 2 Episode 20 - Tomorrowland (Discussion)

Hello everyone and welcome back to the Revolution.  I've made it no secret that I'd be pretty busy during these final weeks of the traditional TV season and it was no lie!  Unfortunately, I was able to watch Revolution last night so I cannot provide a proper recap.  I plan on watching it some time this morning so I'm still up for a discussion in the comments below.  Next week I'll be out of town as well, so we'll probably only have a discussion thread too.  The finale is May 21st and I will try my best to get out one final recap.  (Let's be honest, chances of renewal are not good!)   Sorry again about this, but I'll see you in the comments!

Game of Thrones: Season 4 Episode 5 - First of His Name

UPDATE: Recap is finished!  Click "continue/read more" to check it out.

Greetings Westerosians and welcome back to Game of Thrones!  Since our last discussion, there has been some changes in my personal life that are already taking their tolls (rightfully so!) on my blogging hobby.  It originally delayed my recap of the episode, but it is there now!

Same note on Book Spoilers.  I will compare to the books when something has happened but will note spoilers in the recap or comments when I feel it is something that should remain unread by TV Only audiences!

Here we go.

It's a girl!!

Hello fellow TV Addicts!  I just wanted to let everyone know that my family has added yet another tiny TV addict in training! Anna Katherine V. (Anna Kate!) was born on 4/29/2014 at 10:28am, weighing in at a healthy 8 lbs 8 oz and measuring 21 inches long. She is absolutely gorgeous and we are elated to welcome her into the world and our lives!  It is taking some adjusting for big brother Parker, but we all melted yesterday when he held her for the first time.  Mom and baby are doing well and will be coming home tomorrow!

I always bring every momentous life event announcements with a little disclaimer about future blogging efforts. It will no doubt be tougher. Please bear with me, but I'm sure I'll find ways to discuss the shows I will continue to watch and obsess over!  Thanks for your continued readership over the years and for your understanding!

If anyone wants to see pictures feel free to email me through the "blog contact information". As always I don't want to be posting my kid's photos all over the public virtual realm!

I've been checking out comments on our current discussions and will catch up soon. See you later in the blogosphere!

Revolution: Season 2 Episode 19 - S##t Happens (Discussion)

Hello Revolution fans!  I'm scheduling this posting in advance anticipating that I'm not going to have time to recap this week's episode.  As you may or may not know, I am welcoming a new addition to my family this week.  I'm sure I'll be posting a little something to announce it with the usual stats for anyone who is interested!  But, this being child #2 I'm certainly going to have my hands full for the foreseeable future.  I will try to join the Revolution discussion at some point, but not sure what I'll be doing from a recapping perspective for the rest of the season.  Let's play each episode by ear!

Feel free to discuss this episode in the comments below!  Hopefully, I'll see you in there.

Game of Thrones: Season 4 Episode 4 - Oathkeeper

Hello fellow Westerosians and welcome back for another helping of Game of Thrones!  After last week and now this week, it appears that season 4 is going to test the book fans' patience and willingness for change the most.  I'm going to go ahead and say that this episode probably was the most different from the books since the beginning of the series.  That said, I can probably still see where most of it is going to merge up with the books.  But, there were some magical elements (one in particular) introduced that was theorized but NEVER revealed in George R. R. Martin's novels.  We're at an interesting crossroads with the show starting to plan a future where there are no books to pave the way.  Yet, they do have knowledge from GRRM on how story arcs end.  So, we have to question things like, "Well, was this scene GRRM approved or is this a TV only creation?"   Questions like these may not really have answers until the final books are released.  Of course, it certainly makes things more interesting for all who are watching!  Anyway, things are getting a little crazy on the homefront this week so my recap will likely be short.  But, we'll have plenty to discuss in the comments.

Same spoiler disclaimers as always.  I have read the books, several commenters have too.  If something has already been revealed on the show, I'll describe the differences/similarities with no spoiler warning.  If there is anything that hasn't been revealed yet,  I will distinguish within the recap and in comments (and I urge everyone else to do the same!)

Here we go!

Game of Thrones: Season 4 Episode 3 - Breaker of Chains

Hello all and welcome back for our continuing Game of Thrones coverage!  Last night was a "quieter" episode in the realm but certainly not lacking in action or some pretty intense exposition.  There were certainly some tweaks from the books, but it worked for the most part!  Let's not waste time with our own exposition and get right into the discussion, right after the spoilers disclaimer.

I will always clearly label when I'm about to delve into future book stuff as I would hope fellow book readers would do in the comments. In the "Safe for all"sections, I will talk about differences from the books for plot points that have already occurred in both.

Game of Thrones: Season 4 Episode 2 - The Lion and the Rose

Hello everyone and welcome back to our Game of Thrones discussion!  Well, it finally happened!  The Purple Wedding has come and gone.  And now we can finally talk about why fans (not George R.R. Martin) labeled it that.  I'm sure this episode shocked TV viewers not just in the sense of what happened, but the fact that it happened in episode 2 of the season rather than later on.  If this isn't an indication that the 2nd half of A Storm of Swords (Book 3) has a lot of amazing moments, I don't know what else could be!  I'm going to jump right into some discussion points after I give our weekly "spoilers" disclaimer".

I will always clearly label when I'm about to delver into future book stuff as I would hope fellow book readers would do in the comments.  In the "Safe for all"sections, I will talk about differences from the books for plot points that have already occurred in both.

Game of Thrones: Season 4 Episode 1 - Two Swords

Hello people of the 7 realms and welcome to our first official Game of Thrones discussion thread!  I know, it's been 4 years and I'm just getting around to it.  We have certainly had our lengthy discussions in the weekly posts, but it felt like it was past time to give it its own space.  Depending on my available time and the content of the episode, I may or may not include commentary within the post itself.  We'll play it by ear!

A little background on my level of exposure to the world of Ice and Fire.  I have read all 5 books in George R. R. Martin's sweeping saga, including the latest "intentionally leaked" chapter from the currently unreleased Winds of Winter.  And of course, my obsession with the show is reaching LOST levels of dedication as I have rewatched it several times.  I'm fairly good at not spoiling large events coming in the books.  There may be a tease here and there, but nothing that would take away from your surprise of any coming big events.  Like LOST, I will try to bring my encyclopedic knowledge of the characters, history and locales of the expansive saga to these discussions as I know it can be helpful to casual watchers (even readers as it's tough to remember everything.  I'm guilty of that too!)  And, after things air in the show, I like to compare how it was similar or different to the books.

For book readers, I won't forget about you as I'm always itching to look ahead too.  I will clearly distinguish in the post between TV Thoughts and Book Thoughts.   I ask that anyone that comments in the comment section, please do the same.  In the past we've made it very clear in commentary when we're about to discuss Book Spoilers so that TV Readers can avert their eyes and keep reading.  Even in my spoiler sections, I still try to be vague (using abbreviations where possible) in case wandering eyes accidentally view something.

Sound good?  Good!  I have a few thoughts on the premiere, so I'll dive into those and then we'll get into the major discussion below!  Did I even mention I thought this premiere was fantastic!? Well, I did now! Here we go.

Revolution: Season 2 Episode 18 - Austin City Limits

Hello and welcome back to the revolution!  We've arrived at Austin, Texas (and since they film in Austin, the setting is legit!) and seem to be amping up for a grand showdown for the season, possibly series, finale.  I'm not sure if it was Facebook, Twitter or TV ads but I certainly caught the teaser that we'd be losing someone in this episode.  And for a quick second, I started to suspect that the person I thought was untouchable might go down.  But, alas, I knew better!  Anyway, let's dive into some of the talking points of this episode.

The Walking Dead: Season 4 Episode 16 - A

Hello fellow Walkers and welcome back!  Well, another season of The Walking Dead has come and gone.  When looking at this entire batch of 16, I think we may have had our strongest season yet.  Clearly, AMC has thought so too as they let the current (and 3rd) showrunner Scott Gimple keep his job!  It certainly was surprising that none of the major characters lost their lives in the finale, but they sure set up a nice cliffhanger to get us going strong in season 5.  Let's dive in and discuss some of the key moments of the episode!

The Walking Dead: Season 4 Episode 15 - Us

Hello and welcome back!  This was our penultimate episode of season 4 and it was pretty darn good!  While the episode certainly focused on Glenn's crew and Daryl's new crew for the most part, we certainly caught up with a lot of our other separated survivors.  Everyone seems to be enroute to the same place.  Let's dive in and discuss!

Revolution: Season 2 Episode 17 - Why We Fight

Hello all and welcome back to the Revolution!  Not a terrible episode, but very little plot movement in the scheme of things.  We're just seeing things develop as we kinda assumed they would.  But, I'll do my due diligence and call out some of the key moments from the episode.  Though, my DVR seems to have cut off the final moments of the episode, so I'm not sure if I missed anything important.  You guys can fill me in.  Here we go!

The Walking Dead: Season 4 Episode 14 - The Grove

Hello fellow Walkers! Well, Robert Kirkman had hyped up this episode as a "can't miss" and it certainly lived up to the billing.  Disturbing is probably an understatement to what was going on with those crazy kids, one in particular.  Of course, they served as the catalyst to the elephant in the room between Carol and Tyreese and that played out wonderfully.  Let's dive into it!

Revolution: Season 2 Episode 16 - Exposition Boulevard

Hello friends and welcome back to the Revolution!  This show is continuing its path to answering some of the questions we've been pondering for some time on this show and has managed to keep the action coming as well.  Another entertaining hour in the books.  Of course, I'm still pulling double recap duty tonight, so I'll continue with my brevity!  Let's dive into the discussion.

The Walking Dead: Season 4 Episode 13 - Alone

Welcome back fellow walkers!  Live together, die alone is a mantra of one of our favorite TV Shows in recent memory.  At it was very much the theme of tonight's episode of The Walking Dead.  And, I'd say the show was better for it!  This episode benefitted from the slow character building of last week with Daryl and Beth, but also opened up the story for us to join in with fan-favorite Maggie and her crew as well.  Let's discuss some key moments from the episode!

Revolution: Season 2 Episode 15 - Dreamcatcher

Hello and welcome back to the Revolution!  That was a pretty darned entertaining episode which all ended up being one giant ruse in the end.  But, still very interesting to see what the nano are capable of.  And, it was a nice twist to see our heroes our electronically dominated present, even if it was a fabricated "Matrix" developed in Aaron's mind.  Anyway, this episode has brought Aaron's current arc to a close and we'll move on to an elevated state of terror awaiting around the next corner.  But, let's discuss some things that happened in the episode.

The Walking Dead: Season 4 Episode 12 - Still

Hello fellow walkers and welcome back for the "Oscars" rendition of The Walking Dead!  Now, I'm not sure if the creative team behind this show had enough foresight to realize that they would be airing this episode against the Oscars, but it certainly seemed that way.  Now, while I really enjoyed the character building episode for Daryl and Beth, it also doubled as an episode where there wasn't MUCH plot movement so anyone that skipped this one wouldn't miss TOO much.  Of course, if you count digging into the souls of quiet brooding characters and quiet because they rarely have lines characters as plot movement then there was plenty here!  Anyway, I don't think there's too much to discuss in the recap but let's give it a shot anyway!

Revolution: Season 2 Episode 14 - Fear and Loathing

Hello and welcome back to the Revolution!  Decent episode with a crazy twist of an ending!  They definitely are continuing to infuse more mystery and weirdness into the story as it progresses and it is better for it.  Of course, it all might be too little too late for a season 3 renewal.  Stranger things have happened, but we'll keep plowing through until the end here on the blog!  That said, I'm back into 2 blogs on Wednesday night territory (yep, I'm still doing Idol. Don't judge me.), so let's be quick about this!

The Walking Dead: Season 4 Episode 11 - Claimed (Discussion)

Hello fellow walkers!  Sorry to disappoint, but I was unable to watch The Walking Dead last night due to my priorities of being first a good parent over a timely and amateur blogger!  Without getting into too many details let's just say the Mrs. and I didn't get to bed until well after midnight and no television was watched!  Anyway, I'm sure I will watch the episode as soon as I can, but I didn't want to hold up the discussion.  So, feel free to add your thoughts here and I will join in as soon as I see the episode.  Sorry, this happens at least once or twice per season these days.  I'm sure that number will increase when baby #2 rolls into town, but that's a "problem" I look forward to having!  Thanks for your understanding and see you in the comments!

The Walking Dead: Season 4 Episode 10 - Inmates

Hello fellow walkers and welcome back to The Walking Dead!  We got to see where almost everyone else ended up after the prison invasion this week.  Lots of walker confrontations, lots of tension, a couple answers to cliffhangers led to a pretty decent episode.  Though, I would argue the more intense focus on Rick, Carl and Michonne last week was better than this one.  When you're juggling that many stories in an 8 episode arc, sometimes episodes like this are needed to get to the more interesting stories coming up.  With that said, let's talk about the key points from this episode that we should take away.

The Walking Dead: Season 4 Episode 9 - After

Hello fellow Walkers, and welcome back to the back half of season 4 of The Walking Dead!  And wow, what a return!  The first half pretty much blew up any sense of order that the characters had found for themselves in this post apocalyptic mess of a world and scattered them all over the Atlanta suburbs, forests and what not.  While they're obligated to do so, everyone involved with season 4 is very excited about these 8 episodes coming our way.  They have gone so far to claim that it's the best work that they've done yet.  Considering I thought very highly of the first 8 of this season, I'm pretty exited.  If the next episodes follow a similar format to this one, which I hear they will, I think it may just be the jolt of introspection that this show needs.   Let's dive into some thoughts from the episode.

Revolution: Season 2 Episode 13 - Happy Endings

Hello and welcome back to the Revolution!  We had yet another enjoyable hour with our rag tag gang of rebels.  War is brewing, assassinations are being plotted, nanotech is playing God and mothers and daughters are getting all kinds of "happy endings".   Just another day in the life of Revolution!  Let's dive into our recap.

Revolution: Season 2 Episode 12 - Captain Trips

Hello and welcome back to the Revolution!  Last night, we had an entertaining hour of television that was basically a setup episode for future plot movements.  And they gave us one of dramatic television's infamous subplots to deal with in the meantime: The Outbreak!  Let's discuss briefly the key developments that happened in this episode.

Revolution: Season 2 Episode 11 - Mi Dos Padres

Hello and welcome back to the Revolution!  Things keep escalating in this crazy apocalyptic future.  We're starting to see a link between the East Coast arc and the Texas arc, and we're learning more about the crazy nannites.  I don't have lots of time this week, so let's jump right into our brief review!

Revolution: Season 2 Episode 10 - Three Amigos

Hello everyone and welcome back to the Revolution!  I'm suspecting there may not be many returning this week because I can't remember one single advertisement of the show's return.  Sure, it didn't take a long hiatus like last year, but still it wouldn't hurt to remind people that it's back.  Maybe they had something during the Saturday playoff games, but I must've missed it!  Anyway, the show continued it's pretty solid season 2 run.  Things heated up a little bit with 3 of the main characters venturing south of the border, and Aaron taking an hour walk to Oklahoma.  Let's get into the key discussion points of this episode.
