The Walking Dead: Season 9 Episode 7 - Stradivarius

Hello friends and welcome back to Walking Dead season 9 minus Rick!  We were treated to one of the famed expositional episodes of serialized television tonight.  We got some insight on what has happened during the 6 year gap while learning more about the newbies.  It was an "okay" hour of television but important in setting up the new stakes.  It's a holiday week, so maybe I'll be a little briefer (more brief?) than I normally am!  Let's get started.

The Walking Dead: Season 9 Episode 6 - Who Are You Now?

Hello friends and welcome to The Walking Dead post Rick!  A lot changes in 6 years.  New relationships are forged, new children are born, and them walkers have changed a bit!  Not too bad for a first episode in a new era.  Still playing it episode by episode on how far the recaps will go.  I made a joke during the episode that Magna and Michonne will be best friends 10 seasons from now.  Then I almost cried thinking that that might actually happen!  My fingers hurt thinking it too!  But, we'll take it one week at a time!  Let's dive in!

The Walking Dead: Season 9 Episode 5 - What Comes After

Hello all and welcome to the big one.  I haven't said this in a long time, but WOW!  That was a fantastic episode of The Walking Dead!  They pulled out all the stops for Rick's final episode on the show.  And they really had us all almost convinced that they were actually going to pull the trigger.  But everything perfectly came together in this episode and even ended up with something we discussed in our comments on a previous recap.   Then Talking Dead took things to another level with the announcement of future Walking Dead plans!  I'll try to cover it all after the jump!

The Walking Dead: Season 9 Episode 4 - The Obliged

Hello friends and welcome back!  AMC is making no secret about what's coming.  I think there's a chance we had some final scenes between certain characters tonight.  After my diatribe last week, it's looking like they really are going to go through with the unthinkable!   But, we've seen red herrings before in television.  Guess we'll just see what happens.   This episode was a big setup for an ending while digging into some other stuff that will probably linger after that end has occurred.  I'm talking all cryptic and we'll just dive into specifics after the jump!

The Walking Dead: Season 9 Episode 3 - Warning Signs

Hello friends and welcome to another recap of another episode of another season of The Walking Dead!  I'm getting concerned folks.  I thought we had 5 episodes to go before the show went beyond repair.  Now we've learned things will change much sooner.  I guess that means the next two episodes are going to be pretty crazy.  Things were already ramping up by the end of this one.  It's been a solid season so far, but I just don't understand what the future will look like after they do what they're gonna do.   But, I'll get more into it after the jump!

The Walking Dead: Season 9 Episode 1 - A New Beginning

Hello friends and we're back!  It's been a long hiatus for the The Walking Dead and without Game of Thrones this year for my blogging habits!  I'll try my best to keep up with it, but 9 seasons into this show and it's getting tough to get hyped for write ups.   But I still love discussing the show.  I'll jot down some notes below and we can let the conversation go from there.   There will be a lot happening in the first 8 this season.  It's Rick's final episodes and Maggie's too.  Will they live?  Will they perish?  I have thoughts and we can get into it.  We have a new showrunner again.  Could you tell the difference?   Maybe it's too soon.   Tonight's episode was pretty solid.  Let's see how things pan out!

Hello friends and welcome to our finale discussion of The Walking Dead season 8.  Well, they told us we'd get closure.  It was a rip roaring clash of Saviors vs. everyone else.  How did it end?  We'll discuss.  It was an entertaining episode.  I'm cautious with the direction they're hinting for the next plot line of the show, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it!  Let's dive in.

The Walking Dead: Season 8 Episode 15 - Worth

Hello friends, we're closing in on another season's end!  Things have been amping up to conclusion in this 2nd half of season 8.  I've been one of the show's harshest critics of late.  But, they seem to have finally caught some traction after laying the groundwork for ending the Negan Saga (well, hopefully ending!).  Let's chat!

The Walking Dead: Season 8 Episode 13 - Do Not Send Us Astray

Hello friends and welcome back!  Well, I talked about treading water last week.  The seeds they were planting definitely paid dividends in this loaded episode.  That was a good one.  They finally brought back the fear of the dead in this episode.  I still don't understand the logistics of the poison weapons, but whatever! It ups the ante on the drama.  Let's discuss.

The Walking Dead: Season 8 Episode 9 - Honor

Hello friends and welcome back!  Season 8 returned and as we feared had to close up a particular story arc on the show.  This episode went a little differently than I anticipated based on interviews after episode 8.  I was expecting a guns blazing send-off that might take out Negan (not even featured in this episode).  Now we have to consider a different tactic based on promises made.  Still, it was a well done episode and a proper send off to a long running character that was expected to make it to the end.  Let's dive in.
