Fringe: Season 3 Episode 9 - Marionette (Discussion)

Hello Fringe Dwellers and Universe Hoppers alike! I believe I have given you all fair warning that I unfortunately am unable to recap this episode due to being on a much needed (and deserved) vacation! But, I didn't want this to prevent any other fans from discussing their thoughts! Feel free to talk about what you liked, disliked and any theories you may like to share. If you have spotted the observer or figured out the Glyph code for the week, share that too! I may update this post with some of my own "OBSERV'ER'ATIONS" when I finally get to the episode or at least a chance to write about it!

In the meantime, enjoy the episode and Happy Holidays!

The Walking Dead: Season 1 Episode 6 - TS-19

Hello Walkers! WO..! (I'm close!!) What a great and unexpected gift this show has been to us this fall season! This 6 episode masterpiece came to us in our great time of need and now has secured its place in the TV Classics Pedestal for years to come. A completely thought out season from start to finish with just enough loose ends to make us wonder what could be in store for these folks in season 2. There is some speculation that there could be a writers room reshuffling in the off-season, but with Executive Producers Frank Darabount (showrunner) and Robert Kirkman (comic-book creator and Exec Producer/writer on show) staying with the show, it's definitely in good hands. It will be a long wait until next October, but there is no telling what kind of schedule reshuffling AMC may be considering to bring us our favorite shows in a timely manner. They have 3 classics on their hand now and all are in equal demand (I would have argued Rubicon should be on that list too but Walking Dead, Breaking Bad and Mad Men are definitely class acts). Season 1 is already available for pre-order on DVD and Blu-Ray and will be released on March 8. If you missed it and all of the reairings they have been doing, you'll have your chance then to catch up!

There's nothing left to do for now except dive into my thoughts for the season finale: TS-19! I may as well call it a recap now.  I think it's there!  I look forward to all of your thoughts as well!  Here we go.

Fringe: Season 3 Episode 8 - Entrada

Welcome back Fringe Dwellers!  What a fantastic hour of TV we were treated to tonight with this always fantastic show.  It was the moment we've been waiting for and it didn't happen a moment sooner than it needed to happen.  We have had just enough time for Faux-livia to stir things up in our world and for Olivia to spend some time over there and have us grow to enjoy some new characters and versions of the same characters for future episodes.  And without the proper build-up that the 7 preceding episodes accomplished, we would not have been as excited for Olivia's suspenseful return!   Just fantastic stuff.

Of course, since we last met, we have received some unfortunate news about Fringe and its move to Fridays.  FOX does not seem concerned as a good portion of Fringe Fans are DVR Time-shifters.  Hopefully, this is true because I'm going to miss next Thursday's episode (more information on that after the recap)!  I hope all fans of the show made a point to send a message to FOX tonight by watching live.  We'll see after the numbers are announced on Friday!  But enough of this public service announcement, it's time for some FRINCE-Capping!

The Event: Season 1 Episode 10 - Everything Will Change

Everything will change, eh?  Well, thank goodness for that!  I will not be the first one to say that the show has seemed to be running in circles for the past couple of episodes.  I know I tended to reflect that in my recaps!  Joking my way through the Sean/Leila story, joking about logistics of travel, and latching on to some hope with the EBE story lines.  Well, I also said that everything is a building block to get to payoff episodes.  This final installment of the fall is partially a payoff episode that rewarded the viewers that have stuck with it.  There was a nice twist in the EBE story, there was a twist that MAYBE we kind of saw coming with the Sean/Leila story and there was a promise of a whole lot more good stuff to come.   So my verdict on our fall finale?  Much better than last week's episode!  I'm excited about the cliffhanger, I just hope NBC has a plan to lure the viewers back at the end of February.  3 months is a long break for a show with dwindling ratings.  Maybe with Monday Night Football off of the air they'll be able to get some of their DVR audience to tune in LIVE.  We'll see!  But until then, we have this recap to tide us over.  So, let's dive in and see if we can get some good discussion out of this one!

The Walking Dead: Season 1 Episode 5 - Wildfire (Quick Thoughts)

Welcome Walkers! I couldn't let an episode slip by without sharing my thoughts on this fantastic show. It's crazy to think we have only seen 5 episodes and that this 5th episode is the penultimate episode of the season. There was a great cover story in the latest Entertainment Weekly about the story behind the success of The Walking Dead and how they didn't think it was likely they would get renewed. They discuss how 6 episodes was tough to design a season around. I, personally, think it's working really well for them. Every episode resonates and is as important as the one preceding and following it. It almost has a mini-series/movie feel to it. I am actually hoping that the intensity doesn't slow down when they branch out to a full 13 episode order in season 2. But, considering there is plenty of source material to draw from, I don't see that being a problem. I was happy to hear that they are already veering from the Comics in certain areas so the fans of the comic books will not be able to spoil everything for us newbies!

Anyway, all of it is making for some engaging television and it now has taken its place atop my list of APPOINTMENT television right along with Fringe. There is life after LOST folks. Still depressing, but at least there are little threads of optimism to hang on to! As always, here are my quick thoughts for the latest episode of The Walking Dead.

The Event: Season 1 Episode 9 - Your World to Take

Hello Eventers!  Welcome the the penultimate FALL FINALE recap!  That's right, only one more episode this year before we go on a FlashForward (err whoops) EVENT hiatus!  What's done is done and no sense complaining about no episodes in January and most of February.   I will make a plea for FRINGE though before this posting has come to a close!  That show needs our help, pronto!  But before we get there let's talk about THE EVENT!  This episode was one where it seemed like a lot was going on and not a whole lot happened!  I was seeing a lot of potential in the opening minutes and then the episode kind of ended with a shoulder shrug from me.  But there were plenty of interesting moments to discuss and much more things to laugh at from the Sean/Leila saga (seriously...didn't they have a gun last episode and wasn't Sean badly injured and close to death?)   Anyway, we'll get to it all in the recap.  So, let's dive in now!

The Walking Dead: Season 1 Episode 4 - Vatos (Quick Thoughts)

Welcome Walkers! 4 episodes in and I am still compeltely enamored by this show! I tell you what. Let's make a deal. The final 2 episodes could be the best thing ever to grace the screen, but I will wait until the season 2 premiere to see if the quality remains before I unveil a Mike V. staple "W" word seal of approval! We at least owe that to LOST, right?! But, dang!!! This show is on fire! Great character moments in this episode setting up more intense standoffs with humans and zombies alike. And, 4 episodes in and we finally start seeing some main characters (or at least who we thought were going to be main characters) taking a turn for the "CURSE" (like my play on words there?). We knew it had to happen eventually on a Zombie Apocalypse show, right? But even when it did, I was still shocked!

No sense in delaying. As always in this new tradition, I will share my quick thoughts on the episode and look forward to everyone chiming in with theirs! Here we go.

Fringe: Season 3 Episode 7 - The Abducted

Hello Fringe fanatics!  I'm finally getting to this recap.  As, I mentioned last week, I planned to be delayed.  I have attended several midnight showings of movies in the past and they were a good time.  But, I was also in my 20's!  I watched Fringe last night and bolted to the theater to get a good seat for the show.  Yeah...I forgot we'd have to sit there for 2 hours before the movie even started!  I almost fell asleep!  And then there were all these teenagers and 20-somethings dressed up as wizards, witches, scarecrows (I know...what???) and they were dueling in the aisles.  The worst thing about the dueling?  The crowd was actually enjoying it and not covering their head in their hands and shaking their heads in shame!   Bottom line?  I think I'm getting old! So...yes Deathly Hallows Part II?  I'm hitting up a matinee!  Awesome movie though!

Sidebar over.  Speaking of awesome... HOW AWESOME WAS FRINGE LAST NIGHT!?!?!?!   No, what we were hoping to happen didn't quite happen, but we can't say that the plot did not advance in a majorly exciting way!  We still got our case of the week (spoiler alert, if you haven't seen this week's THE EVENT and actually care to remain spoiler free about the show - I'm going to be kinda referring to it!), we had Olivia making some allies in the Alternaverse, and we got our hope that she is going to find a way out of it one day!  Perhaps with some help from our favorite Bishop Boys!  Let's do some recapping!

The Event: Season 1 Episode 8 - For the Good of Our Country

Hello Eventers!  Welcome back to another round of THE EVENT recapping.  Another exciting, informative and suspenseful episode this week.  And if all past week's are any indication, I'm sure less people will have seen this week's episode than last week.  NBC believes they have a plan to reboot the show in 2011, but it sure is sounding a bit like a FlashForward strategy.  So, last episode of this year will be 11/29.  And then we will return on 2/28 with a 2 hour episode including a 1 hour retrospective.   Let's be honest, no one watches TV in December anyway.  But waiting 2 months into the new year to relaunch your high concept show that everyone will have forgotten in 3 months?  RISKY, very risky.  Anyway, enough of my sidebar, we have a new episode to recap.  We're finding ourselves into the meat of this first season.  The story is moving forward and we have a few things to discuss.  Let's get going!

The Walking Dead: Season 1 Episode 3 - Tell it to the Frogs (Quick Thoughts)

Welcome Dead Heads! We are only 3 episodes into this show, but the writers and actors have done so well at building this world and characters that it feels like we have known them forever. We feel for them and the situation(s) that are placed before them. This is just an awesome show and has come to us in a time where television needed it the most. An era of AWESOME television ended last season leaving only a couple solid existing shows in its wake. We have had a relatively weak crop of new shows in the fall (The Event is still promising but ratings are dwindling). Enter THE WALKING DEAD a month later. If the buzz keeps up for this show, we may have found our new APPOINTMENT TELEVISION! On a CABLE network, no less! Great stuff. Now, I still refuse to call my write ups on this show "RECAPS" because I don't want to commit to the length and screenshots and the whole 9 yards that I do for THE EVENT and FRINGE. Just very time consuming. Of course, today is your lucky day because I was able to snag a few screen shots! Anyway, I think we'll still stick with "QUICK THOUGHTS" for the Walking Dead this season. So here goes nothing!

Fringe: Season 3 Episode 6 - 6955 kHz

Hello Fringe Dwellers!  Welcome back to our world where we had the chance to get reacquainted with Walter, Peter and Fauxlivia after the baseball hiatus.  This show hasn't missed a beat.  Viewers?  Well it may be missing some of those, but we have to hope that FOX continues to support this awesome show into next season.  It really is a sad state of affairs that when a show is taking risks and rewarding viewers with its best work yet, the viewers aren't there to see it!  But enough complaining, we have a show to get into.   And what a show it was!  Lots of science mumbo jumbo in this episode with magnetism and numbers and plane crashes.  Wait a sec....(did I catch an 8, 15 and a 42 in there too?  good times)  But, the best part of the episodes this season is that just when we think that we are watching a random FRINGE case investigation, it turns out to be a key piece of the puzzle in the overall mythology of the show.  Just awesome.   Let's roll into the recap!

The Event: Season 1 Episode 7 - I Know Who You Are

Hello Eventers!  Welcome back after a 2 week hiatus for a new episode.  Okay, now THIS is what I'm talking about!  I really liked this episode.  I may have unfairly reviewed the Simon centric episode from a couple weeks ago.  While I enjoyed the episode, I just felt like something was missing.  Maybe there was, maybe there wasn't but it certainly was a stepping stone to get to the excitement of this episode.  I felt the drama, I thrived on the suspense, I went into my "thinking man" pose a few times when a new mystery or twist was upon us and of course there were a couple "we totally called that one!" moments to be proud of as well.   So what else can I say but something that I say all the time?   GOOD TIMES!   (you LOSTIES were thinking I might bring out the big guns with the "W" word, weren't you?  Sorry, just can't do it!)    Anyway, any episode that can bring a more human side to Blake Sterling has done its job very well.  Let's get into the recap!

The Walking Dead: Season 1 Episode 2 - Guts (Quick Thoughts)

Hello fans of the gore-tastic! Couldn't resist sharing my quick thoughts on the 2nd installment of The Walking Dead. It was another great suspensful, dramatic and "gutsy" outing for this brand new show. And this episode sealed it for me: I am glad that we aren't able to SMELL TV shows! At least not shows dealing with Undead walkers, guts-splattered clothing, sewers, rats and what not! Lots of new characters met in this episode. Ones that I'm guessing will be sticking around for a bit as this unlikely group of strangers unite together to fight for survival. (hmmm, that sure sounds like another show that some of us dedicated 6 years of our lives to) There isn't much to recap in this show for the time being, but there is plenty to discuss, so I'm just going to share some of my quick thoughts once again. I look forward to hearing any of yours too!  Let's dive in.

Fringe: Season 3 Episode 5 - Amber 31422

Welcome Fringe Dwellers!  Well, what can I say?  Fringe is working really hard this season on getting my "W-word" seal of approval!  But, out of respect for LOST, I'm still looking for another word to exclaim my excitement for how awesome this show is!  The best compliment I can give it is that it has achieved my "most anticipated weekly show" status, and that is a pretty big deal if I must say so myself.  They just keep finding new ways to keep this weekly universe swapping story telling fresh and interesting.  I am just loving it!  But, enough with me dispensing the pleasantries.  We have a recap to get to.  So, let's get to it!

The Walking Dead: Season 1 Episode 1 - Days Gone Bye (Quick Thoughts)

Has an hour and a half of a brand new TV show ever flown by so quickly and at the same time couldn't come soon enough? That may sound like a dig at the new comic-book horror adaptation, The Walking Dead but for this genre, has to be the ultimate compliment! I'm no horror movie buff or Zombie aficionado (though I did love Zombieland and still am waiting for LOST's "Zombie Season 7!"). Horror films, for me, are either unintentionally comical or they totally freak me out!  But, The Walking Dead seems to be a dark character drama in disguise as a horror series. Yes, I am borrowing some words from EW's Doc Jensen and Dan Snierson and their glowing back and forth review, but they're absolutely right. Don't get me wrong, this show definitely scared the crap out of me! (had to find a comedy on the TiVo before bed or else I'd be having some wacky dreams)  The THRILLER aspect of the show is a given, but we already have some very intriguing character dynamics at play that have only begun to unfold. I'm already sold and want to see the next chapter in this 6 episode season!

Anyway, back to my initial comment.  This past Sunday was full of "TV so good and suspenseful you could barely watch because it made you so nervous!"   That was how I felt about the 1-2 punch of Dexter and The Walking Dead last night.  Just a fantastic 2.5 hours of television.  But, we're not here to discuss Dexter (unless you want to in the comments. I'm game!).   Our purpose here is to welcome a new show to our lives.  And quite possibly, in doing so, we are welcoming a new LEGEN-wait for it-........DARY show!   So, what better way than to share yet another QUICK THOUGHTS column?  Here we go!

The Event: Season 1 Episode 6 - Loyalty

Hello Eventers!  Welcome back for another edition of Event Recapping.  Well, they went ahead and used the dreaded "A" word, didn't they?  I'm not really going to argue against it anymore but I will say that other theories floating around still may apply!  The episode itself was decent.  Some parts worked well, other parts....well....for me, some of the scenes that felt like they should be moving just seemed to fall flat.    But, for now, I'm going to try to not hold it against the show.  They moved the plot along, and it was nice seeing Sophia walking for a change instead of hanging out in a cell!   Let's head to the recap.

The Event: Season 1 Episode 5 - Casualties of War

Hello Eventers!  Welcome back for another recap of another solid and suspenseful hour of our new show of mysteries!  And do you hear that?  It's the collective sigh of relief that we will AT LEAST get to see the end of season 1.  That's right kids, The EVENT has been given a full season order!  Big news considering the ratings have dropped every week for the live viewings (I think there is still a large DVR audience).  I understand the masses' fear of commitment to a show like this but it really is their loss for missing out on some entertaining television.  And with that, I think it's time to recap don't you!?

Quick Thoughts on Mad Men Season 4 Finale "Tomorrowland"

Hello TV Addicts! I have a feeling with the Phillies being in the MLB playoffs that I'm going to be falling behind on some quality TV! But even with the game ending at 11:30 last night, I couldn't resist watching the season finale of Mad Men. And what an episode it was! Totally went in directions that I wouldn't have expected and I'm sure others felt the same way. Anyway, since it's the season finale of yet another spectacular season, I think it warrants some discussion. This goes without saying, but SPOILER ALERT! Don't read on if you didn't watch!

Fringe: Season 3 Episode 4 - Do Shapeshifters Dream of Electric Sheep?

Hello Half Human/Machine mercury bleeding entities from another dimension!  Welcome back for another dose of FRINGE recap goodness!   I just have to say, this season is off to a roaring start with no sign of slowing down any time soon.  This episode returns to our world with our IMPOSTER Olivia causing some ruckus for the team both personally and professionally.  I'm really starting to hate her!  But we must give total props to Anna Torv for selling us on basically 3 different versions of Olivia Dunham since the start of this show.  As Jeff "Doc" Jensen recalled earlier today, she and the writers have really brought her character along over the years from the early days of the show.   I'm still just thrilled at how far this show has come and really am looking forward to where we still have to go.  Let's "shift" things into the recap now, shall we?

The Event: Season 1 Episode 4 - A Matter of Life and Death

Hello Eventers and welcome back for our 4th outing with the new brain teaser of a show.  Of course, I'd still say we're leaning towards suspense thriller over mind twisters at this point.  And, I'm perfectly fine with this!  Answers will come and more mysteries will evolve over time but for now why can't those crazy kids just find each other!?   Lots of Sean Walker action this week, a nice twisty game played on Leila, and the investigation into the "passenger resurrection" were all underway.   And yes, let's not forget some more magical traveling from point A to point B!  (and I'm not talking about planes disappearing and showing up halfway around the country...just regular human made cars with disabled GPS systems!)   But we'll get to all of that in the recap.  I'm willing to suspend my disbelief with shows like this for...well...SUSPENSE!  So bring it on EVENT writing crew!  I'm loving the ride.  Oh right, and I think I recognized that voice at the end and it goes back to my "he who smelt it dealt it" theory from last week.  We'll get there all in good time.   Let's RECAP!

Fringe: Season 3 Episode 3 - The Plateau

Hello Alterna-Fringe dwellers!  I'll be you knew I was going to say that?  And how fitting on an episode about scientific predicting, right?!   This season has been on fire.  I am enjoying every minute that we are spending with our Fringe favorites, both  NORMAL and ALTERNATE.  I liked the twist we got with Olivia "OVER THERE" this week.  There is still a little bit of her trying to find her way back.  Love it!  But, even with advancing the personal stories, they still found a way to fit in another FRINGE CASE of the week.  And using advanced technology OVER THERE to its advantage, it made for a very interesting and suspenseful time.   As far as recaps go, I think I will mostly try to stick to the ongoing story for discussion purposes.  But we'll touch a little bit on the CASE as well.  Here we go!

The Event: Season 1 Episode 3 - Protect Them from the Truth

Hello Zombie Nation, I mean EVENTERS!  We are 3 hours in and things are still cooking on The Event!  I'm sure to many people's relief, this episode only contained 2 quick flashbacks so most of narrative was advancing in the present day.  Not too much of an intellectual brain dump this week, just a nice suspenseful thriller and keeping us guessing at the big questions for another week.  So let's just dive in and recap what we learned!

Friday, October 1, 2010

Fringe: Season 3 Episode 2 - The Box

Hello Fringe fanatics and welcome back for another dose of crazy science!  Ahh but this time we back in OUR world (notice we're back to our normal opening credits!).  There is one little twist this time around, though.  Olivia is not who she claims to be.  That's right, Peter and Walter were too wrapped up in their own drama to notice the little differences between FAUX-Livia and Olivia and realize they brought back the wrong one!  I was worried that this gimmick might get old after an episode or 2, and am still worried that it might.  But for now, it's bringing a fresh twist on the show and allowing us to delve deeper into both universes and their motives.  Seeing Alt-Livia's assignment unfold in this episode also provides a promising amount of story for the episodes to come.  Oh yeah, and did I mention that it the episode was Fringe at its best?  Well, consider it done!  I still am not sure how well a recap works for this show, but I will continue to try until I decide on another way to write about this show.  Who knows it may evolve as I'm writing this one!  Only one way to find out.  The recap/write-up commences NOW!

The Event: Season 1 Episode 2 - To Keep Us Safe

Greetings Eventers!  Or should I say Earthlings???  Naaaa, I'm still not buying aliens yet, I don't care what any of you say!  Too obvious, too cliche'.  They're going somewhere else with this.  But visitors, extra-terrestrials or not, I am thoroughly still enjoying The Event!  Do I think LOST and 24 had a baby and its child is The Event?  Well, no NBC, no I don't.  But that doesn't mean the show isn't good!  And if we're crossbreeding shows, I would think we would need to throw Battlestar Galactica into the mix now.  Anyway, we are 2 hours in and there have been some twists and turns already. Some predictable, others not so much.  But what they are setting up is ALL good for the foreseeable future.  A nice thrill ride of a show with a dash of mystery!  And now, my friends, let's RECAP!

Quick Thoughts on Sunday 9/26 Shows: Dexter, Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire

Hello TV Addicts. Yikes, can Sunday get any more packed with awesome television? It's a shame that one of the 3 shows mentioned does not start at 8:00 so I can go to bed at a reasonable hour. Alas, I stayed up to watch another excellent Boardwalk Empire after devouring 2 awesome hours of Dexter and Mad Men as well. Since this is a QUICK THOUGHTS post, I'm just going to get right into it. As usual, one big SPOILER ALERT before we begin. If you haven't watched one of the shows just skip ahead to the comments on the next one. My thoughts after the jump.

Fringe: Season 3 Episode 1 - Olivia

Hello Universe Hoppers!  Welcome to my first ever FRINGE recap!  Yes, I  have been a fan since day 1, but prior blogging engagements have had me occupied for years.  I'm not sure Fringe warrants itself to in-depth recaps trying to analyze all the secrets they are trying to hide.  In fact, I'm not sure Fringe really keeps many secrets from us.  They just throw these wild ideas out there and exploit them.  And hey folks, it has been one helluva ride!   I think when season 1 ended we had this desire to explore the alternate universe (over there) that was introduced.  But we really didn't get our first BIG glimpse of it until the season 2 finale.   Don't get me wrong, season 2 was AWESOME, but the finale was a big set up for what was to come in the future of Fringe.  The table is set and the STORY they have been setting up is about to begin!  Check out this interview with the executive producers about the evolution of what the show has become.  It's a great read.  I loved the premiere and I can't wait for the 2nd part of the premiere when we see our other favorite characters next week.   But for now, let's take a deeper dive into the OVER THERE world with our fresh set of eyes in our very own Olivia!   More after the jump.

Fall 2010 "TV Premiere Week" Quick Thoughts - Sunday 9/19 to Tuesday 9/21

Hello TV Addicts! I have to apologize as I have been super busy this week and have been unable to comment on more of my favorite television shows. It has been the perfect storm of "too busy at work" vs. "Fall TV Premiere Week". It couldn't have happened at a worse time to launch the "TV" Addicts Blog! Of course, I had already stated that my focus will be on THE EVENT and FRINGE. But, since this is an overall encompassing TV Blog, I wanted to be free to discuss ALL shows I'm watching. And I wanted to give all of you great readers the ability to discuss them as well. So, at least for this week, I wanted to just give a little blurb on every show I'm watching. In the future, if some EVENTFUL thing happens on a show, I may give it its own blog posting so we can discuss it separately. Here are my quick thoughts on what I have been watching in the NEW TV Season!  This goes without saying but SPOILER ALERT!  If you haven't caught up yet on a particular show, read on to the shows that you have watched.   My thoughts after the jump!

The Event: Season 1 Episode 1 - I Haven't Told You Everything

Welcome all to the TV Addicts Blog!  Welcome to all LOST fans, 24 fans, FlashForward fans, and all those with hope that there may be life after an era of wonderful serialized television and character dramas.  THE EVENT is upon us folks.  The critics have been skeptical.  Everything that has attempted to follow in LOST's footsteps has been met with lots of reluctance from TV Viewership.  No one can quite crack the code that LOST found.   The problem is, the code that they cracked was being the right show, right place, right time.  Everything fell into place.   Can magic strike in a different way with a new show?  I, too, have my reservations.  But, I too, want to have hope.  I want a new show to capture my imagination and make me obsess over every detail.  Will The Event be this new show?   It's way too soon to tell, but I will say that I enjoyed this pilot episode very much and am definitely ready for more.  Hopefully, the show will continue to deliver.

Most of the Pilot episode was a "get to know the cast" episode.  And, if you have watched any television over the summer, gone to the movies, or just caught any of NBC's brilliant marketing...you probably have seen a majority of the pilot episode before it even aired!  I know I felt that way for most of the episode.  But the last 2 minutes, that everyone has been hyping was definitely worth sticking around for.  It opens up a whole realm of possibilities about where this show will go.  They were not afraid to let their Sci-Fi flag wave in the first episode.  That is a liberating feeling, but it also could scare audiences away.  I hope it's the former before the latter!  The recap begins after the jump!

New Site!

Hello LOSTIES, Forward Flashers, Idol Watchers and just overall TV lovers!  I'm happy to report that I have locked down this site for future BLOGGING adventures!  Yes, I am the same writer that has poured many hours of my life into the Lost Addicts Blog and some extra hours into blogging about other shows (FlashForward, Idol).   I'm not sure if any show will capture my dedication the way LOST did again, but I still love discussing and writing about TV.  And man do I watch LOTS of it!  (which makes me wonder if I'll even have time to write about it!)   Anyway, I thought this would give me the flexibility to pretty much write about anything that is on my mind at the moment in terms of TV.  (from OLD shows, to NEW....Dramas to Sitcoms, short posts to long recaps, you name it!)

This definitely is a work in progress, but I definitely wanted to get a post out here and allow everyone to start commenting.  Let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions.  If I get a chance, I'll update this post with the shows that I am watching, watched but still want to discuss, plan to watch etc...  And then you can let me know what I SHOULD be watching.  And then, we'll just see how in over my head I have gotten myself with such a broad topic BLOG!

8/12 Update: In case anyone is wondering why I haven't started posting, I decided I'm going to officially launch my blogging ventures with the FALL TV premieres.  Sorry for anyone looking for thoughts on Mad Men, Rescue Me and/or True Blood!  I'm watching them all, but summer is just too tough to keep up with blogging!   Keep on voting in the poll and suggesting other shows that I didn't mention!  (by the way, I'm working my way through Breaking Bad right now.  I'm halfway into season 3.  AMAZING show!  Thanks to all of the Lost Addicts who recommended it to me!)

9/13 Update: Based on the polls and my personal preference, I have decided that I will be recapping THE EVENT and FRINGE this season!  But that doesn't mean I will short-change any other shows. Recapping takes a lot of time, but I will try my best to provide quick commentary and initiate discussion for various other shows. If you have any recommendations on shows I should be watching or discussing please let me know!   The majority of FALL TV starts next week!  Get ready for the onslaught!

Thanks to everyone for being such dedicated readers and hopefully, you'll join me on this new venture!   See you soon!
