Summer 2013 TV Discussion - Part II

Hello fellow TV addicts! We breached the 200 comments mark in our original Summer 2013 thread. So, I thought the premiere of the final episodes of Breaking Bad was a good enough excuse to launch a new one! This should carry us through until the FALL TV premiere season. See you in the comments!

Summer 2013 TV Discussion

Hello fellow TV Addicts!  Well, it's been a crazy TV Season, but things aren't really slowing down this summer.  We found plenty to discuss last summer with our unofficial "LOST Rewatch".  But, I'm sure we will have something to talk about this summer as well.  With Game of Thrones discussion, there are book readers in the discussions but we are mindful of TV Only watchers and will precede any book discussion with a "Spoiler Warning" or a "Book Stuff" warning!  See you in the comments!

Summer TV 2012 Discussion - August

This LOST rewatch discussion is really taking over our summer TV talk!  Which is totally fine with me.  We're having a blast doing it!  As of this post, some of us are in season 4 and some in season 5.  So, check the previous 2 posts for discussions around seasons 1-5 as well as this one for seasons 4- 6.   I can say, that I personally think the show holds up in quality.  And I think a majority of the questions we had can definitely be answered by several different pretty concrete ideas based on how the show ends.  I am enjoying approaching the show this way.  We also have been discussing other summer shows such as Breaking Bad, True Blood, Episodes, Newsroom, etc...  Feel free to join in!  Stay tuned for another post this month where I'll discuss the fall TV slate and try to figure out what I'm going to write about this year.  (Fringe and The Walking Dead will still be covered.  I'm pondering Revolution for a new show.  But of course, there are other returning shows that could beg discussion as well.)

Summer TV 2012 Discussion - July

So, our discussions got a little intense in June so I'm going to break these out into monthly posts. True Blood, Breaking Bad, Episodes, Newsroom will be among the summer shows discussed. But, a few of us have embarked on a rewatch of LOST (finally)! We're having a good time having a discussion of the show and reflecting on the series as a whole while rewatching. We're all at different points (end of season 1 to 1/3 into season 2 as of this posting), but the more the merrier if you're interested! Otherwise, stay tuned for more info on what I'll be covering in Fall 2012! See you then!

Fall 2011 Television Season is Here! My Blogging/Viewing Plans.

Hello fellow blog readers!  Welcome to the new television season!  An exciting time to be sure.  And, I have not changed in my commitment to provide in-depth recap/discussions on some of our favorite shows (and potentially comedic recaps on new shows that never quite captured our attention).  We have had some successes (LOST, Fringe, Walking Dead) and some blunders (FlashForward, The Event) but I think we've found a way to find the fun in all of our adventures.  I aim to continue that goal in our new television season.  There are tons of new shows to look forward to but I am only one person with growing responsibilities outside of blogging.  So, I have chosen a select few shows to venture onward with.  And I will list them very soon.  But first...a big announcement!!

ANNOUNCEMENT:
I thought the TV Addicts family would like to know that Mrs. TV Addict and I are expecting a Jr. TV Addict-in-training to arrive early this January!  As you can imagine, we are beyond excited!  And, I'm sure many of you are probably excited for us.  But, maybe there's a hint of worry about how this will impact the blogging come 2012.  And honestly, I can tell you that I have no idea but I can imagine DRAMATICALLY!  In the below blog entry, you will see I have committed to quite a bit of recapping.  That said, after my years of dedication to having TIMELY recaps maybe everyone will understand if there are some delays in the new year.  Afterall, I will be training my eventual blogging replacement!  In all seriousness, anyone that knows me by now probably knows that I will have a problem quitting discussing TV.  So, the timing of blog posts may change but I'm sure I'll find a way to talk about SOMETHING every now and then.  So let's approach that with a "wait and see" approach!  And for now, I'll accept your congratulations! (just kidding)

Okay, enough with the announcement of important "REAL LIFE changing" events, let's get on to TV discussion!  After the jump, I will discuss the new shows I will be recapping and the returning shows that I will be resuming the recaps.  And then, I thought I'd talk a bit about the shows that I will be watching and the shows that I love but just do not have time to blog (but would be HAPPY to discuss at any time).  Here goes nothing!
