The Walking Dead: Season 11 - Episodes 17 - 24 (Discussion)

 Hi all, we’ve finally made it to the home stretch of The Walking Dead!  (Granted, one commercial break teased all that’s coming in their TV universe)  I’ve made no secret I’ve been ready for this to end for awhile, now I just hope they do it right.  Some early call-outs in this premiere gave me hope, but we’ll see if they can stick the landing.  I’ll see you in the comments to hash out the final 8 episodes!

Game of Thrones: House of the Dragon - Season 1 Discussion

Hello and welcome back to Westeros!  It’s been a minute since the flagship show Game of Thrones was torched to the ground and wandered north of the wall.  But, we’re back nearly 200 years before to watch that dragon crazy family do their King’s Landing shenanigans.  And you know what?  It’s off to a decent start! I’ve been doing some homework ahead of this series.  I had purchased the audio book of Fire and Blood when it was first released but hadn’t really gotten through it all.  It’s more of an unreliable narrated historical text than it is a story.  I honed in closer to the Targaryen Civil War (The Dance of Dragons) portion of the book a few weeks ago and have been listening to all the podcasts to be as prepared as possible.  But I’m no expert on this period of Westerosian history.  But, I’m a thrones-head and wanted to create a safe space for us to discuss our thoughts on the show.  So without further adieu let’s get started!  I’ll keep this post here for our discussions of season 1.  See you in the comments! 

Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi Parts I - VI

 

Hello there!  It’s been awhile since I’ve been inspired to write anything in-depth with television, but there are few things as near and dear to my heart as Star Wars is.  Kenobi is the content that many have been waiting for since the Disney acquisition.  Ewan seemed game to do it and there was ripe territory to cover with his 19 years marooned on Tatooine watching over one Luke Skywalker.  The stars finally aligned and we have a 6 part Disney+ series to cover some of the things we’ve only imagined and then some.  Recaps are a dime a dozen on podcasts these days, so I’m just going to point out some of the discussion points that I’ve been tracking as I savor every minute of this show. Let’s jump in!

The Walking Dead: Season 11 Episodes 1-8 (Discussion)

Hello fellow Walkers!  I can’t believe the day has finally come but it has (sorta).  The start of the FINAL season of The Walking dead is here.  Only thing is, it’s the first of 24 episodes over a 2 year period or something like that.  In any case, I’ve dragged my feet for the past few seasons of this show wondering if they’d ever announce an end date.  And it seems to be the push I needed to sick with it to the end.  Now, I’ve abandoned recaps because I just don’t have the time to commit to it anymore.  But, I still love a good discussion.   So feel free to drop in your thoughts with each of the upcoming 8 episodes in 2021.  See in you the comments!
