GoT special last weekend was very interesting. Maybe a serious clue.

Basically about the production of S5.

Grimm was great too. Juliette going in KA mode.

I taped Gof T special but have not yet watched

Started Game of thrones special, but last night was busy! Definitely shows how much work goes into making that show and how hard it is just to get 10 episodes done in a year.

Still working on Grimm too.

Sunday night doesn't have much for me anymore.

Gotham was great. Hated the boy being so scared at the end. The thing with Fish taking over the prisoners was so unreal.

But loved the girlfriend coming to work and kissing--lol. Bruce's ordeal was good with Alfred. Penguin should be called a cat for all the lives he has.

Sleepy - loved a the Jefferson hologram. So is this reporter going to be back then ? I recognized him from ER and maybe some other things.

Scandal - not sure I watched in time to comment last week. Olivia Pope is not Popeing herself. Very savvy. Can't wait to see what Mellie is up to with VP. I was surprised that her advice to Fitz was to do what he needed for his love. Huck was off the charts scary though.

Shameless - that couple who's sone gave the liver are just creeping me out. Guess it's really just the guy who is creepy. Wanna play catch ? Really ? But then she goes and sleeps with Frank ! Why would any one sleep with Frank ?!? Knew Jimmy would be back. Still thnk something is up Gus. Deb really out of control now, and Ian taking the kid an leaving !

Shameless - hysterical as always! you recognize the guy from LOST season 5 right? He was one of the DHARMA guys. He was in Mad Men too one season. Crazy how grey he got since then.

Better Call Saul - Enjoyed the first episode...and nice tie-ins to BB in the beginning and the end. Still didn't get to the 2nd one! I'm hearing nothing but good things though. Vince and crew (same crew as BB) just know how to make good TV!

Sleepy - was in hurry earlier. Forgot all about the end ! And PS - when they got the 'the hatch' and saw the witch marks on it when they decided to go for help how was Katrina not consulted ? Jusy saying. And just how many levels of underground does Sleepy have ? Revers - totally reminded me of Firefly ! That was a heck of alot of info they blew up though. Not even going into the Captain stuff - if he's evil and bad at the same time how can you trust him Jenny ?

Better call Saul - it was ok. I know Sunday got huge ratings. We'll see where it goes. Tuco was a nice surprise at the end . LOL I also have not watched the second one

Shameless - I did not recognize any one from Lost.

Mike V. said...

Saul - I haven't watched ep 2 yet.

Shameless - The annoying DHARMA guy Phil that was suspicious of Sawyer and slapped Juliet in the season 5 finale. He ended up dying during the incident.

In Shameless he is the Dad of the kid that donated his organs.

Justified - that woman who made Ave spend the day with her is just frightening. I almost fell off the couch when Whiz blew himself up cause he didn't shut off his own damn phone. Hysterical. So my husband goes 'dude, you have a little Arzt on you' and then I said No - they've been Whizzed on. We had to pause we were laughing so hard. They are really bringing everyon back for a good bye. Dickie Bennet and the young girl Loretta this week. And now I can't remember who but saw a name for next week too that has't been on in a while.

Gotham - Penguins opening was an epic fail ! LOL Have no idea who took Fish or where she is but yikes ! Of course not being a fan girl I have no idea who Scarecrow is - but I'm guessing he's from the comics and well known. Morena Baccarin is a welcome bit of fun after the dreary Barbara. But I'm thinking she will be trouble at some point.

Episodes - Loved that Schwimmer was getting double what Joey was for that party ! Too funny. Been enjoying the oh no/Ono bit as well. I kept waiting for Carol to say to her new bos - hello I slept with him for years. And the Merc/Carol conversation was awesome.

Shameless - holy crap ! I did not even recognize him. He's so creepy - that whole story line is creepy

MJ--Gotham--yea she was giving that vibe, that she might be a problem at some point. Not caring about what the others thought but most of all potentially making life tough for Gordon.

Mike, you finished watching the GoT production special yet?

Richard

Mike V. said...

Yeah I finished the special. It was good! I've been so swamped both at work and home so I'm really behind on stuff. I should have some desk time tomorrow so I'll update on where I am!

Justified - LOL on the Arzt/Whizzed comments. All i was thinking was "is that Gary Busey?" Not coincidentally, it actually was his son Jake Busey. lol I can't believe Mary Steenburgen was referred to as "that woman that spent the day with Ava" LOL! That is the one and only Clara Clayton from Back to the Future III not to mention many other classics over the years. But yeah, it certainly was creepy! She's been a great cast addition. I did notice they are revisiting a lot of the cast that filled up the world of Harlan, Kentucky over the years. I did see some others on the docket as well.

So our kids have been so out of sorts lately, that we are barely getting any television watched this week. And I've been having to go into work early so I've been missing out on my morning show watching as well. So I still need to watch Saul ep 2, Gotham and Episodes. I did watch Sleepy this morning. Good times! I'm starting to realize why people always said they stopped going to the movies and watching TV when they had kids! LOL

Kinda hard for self-proclaimed TV addict to admit defeat just yet though! :)

Justified - forgot chars name and was too lazy to type steenbergen.

Figured since you've not been commenting much that you had stuff going on. It happens. lol

Not a robot - its a game now. I had to select all pics of cakes from multiple pics

Richard - Librarians getting second season

Justified - yeah Buseys son looks so much like him it was almost creepy

Mike V. said...

Justified - lol touché. I don't remember her name on show either!

Watched Americans. Show is still really good. I forgot how last season ended with the kid having murdered his family. They brought it up in relation to Paige. That was a crazy twist last year.

Scandal - Still on top of its game right now. Huck has always been a little nuts, but that "crime scene" was pretty horrific. Probably explains the "graphic content" warning at the beginning of the episode. So they're playing up this Iranian auction buyer as someone we probably know. So, i'm just assuming it's the woman that was involved with Harrison (that has been on HIMYM and True Blood). I don't remember if she was Iranian though.

And Mellie wants to be President? That can't help Fitz's dream of Vermont with Olivia! lol

Blacklist - Is it me or is this show in a slump this season? No matter how hard I try, I just can't seem to keep myself interested. It could be the lack of sleep I'm getting and the time that I start watching the show. It could be watching it after Scandal like I mentioned last week. But I dunno....something is missing right now. And where the hell is Tom?

Episodes - Finally watched. We were hysterical with the Schwimmer cameo at the end ("they shot my driver!" lol). It doesn't look like he's aged a day since Friends! The Oh No's were hysterical. And when Matt mentioned gift bags. lol

Still playing catchup with Gotham, Agent Carter (which I may or may not catch up on this week), Parks, New Girl among other things...this is really hurting my Game of Thrones rewatching! lol

Blacklist--It must be you--lol. The ratings I understand are great and last nights ep seemed to be to be pretty good. It was not one of the best but a solid ep. The key thing for me was that Liz did what I expected about the Fulcrum and that is not inform the FBI. And she's about to get into serious trouble with the law.

Richard

Mike V. said...

blacklist - I'll admit, it's not my favorite show in the first place and I'm usually pretty tired whenever we're watching it. But, I don't know. It seems like they're getting bogged down with some mundane stuff this season. Last season seemed to be pretty tight and they had a clear goal with the story. It was grounded by the Lizzie/Tom stuff and even the Lizzie/Red interactions. Now it's very in the weeds of the case of the week and it's easy to get lost if you're not paying attention (or tired in my case!). Like I said, it probably doesn't help watching right after Scandal which has been on fire lately.

Blacklist--more detail
I thought this was great for a bridging eps. The stuff with Red making money was great.

On the Blacklists specific blogs, no one has mentioned the big storyline between Liz and Red about "picking sides vs there are no sides, we're just negotiating" Classic Red. I thought this was key back and forth setting stuff up.

Several have commented about the Tango scene. Since I've never been convinced Liz is Red's daughter the Tango scene wasn't that big of a deal to me, even though I thought it strange. There was no mistaking the sexuality of it and in relation to Liz. I've always felt the writers are dangling a lot of stuff and why last year I quit analyzing this show to death. I have always felt Liz has a criminal element(it's a part of her biography) that will come into play as the show develops. And so her not handing the fulcrum over the the FBI was not a surprise. She's hiding it for now on the downlow trying to get help with it. She should (but with these writers who knows)--be in serious trouble with the law for holding Tom, hiding the husband's death, etc.

BOLD PREDICTION(ie maybe crazy--lol)
I could see a build up to a season ender where REd and Liz are both wanted by the law--lol!

Americans - yeah real good last night. Hated that tooth pulling scene though ! LOL I only remember how last year ended cause I watched that finale bef this season started again.

Episodes - actually thought Bev might go for those gift bags.

Modern Family - the whole switching of the gifts was hysterical. And her sister - almost did ot recognize Rosa from Bklyn 99 ! Dunphys always a good time for the valentines episode. Just realized - except for Manny and Joey there were no kids on the whole episode.

Carter - they finally let her out of the shadows but then they arrest her ! Ugh

No Scandal or Blacklist yet.

Allegiance - any one check it out ? Just curious about it.

Slap - did not tape this one - but curious on this one too if any one is watching

Mike V. said...

No MF yet. :-(

Allegience/Slap - I've heard Allegiance is a rip off of The Americans and the ratings aren't very good. A friend of mine watched it and really enjoyed it and wanted me to watch it. But it sounds like a failure out of the gate and I don't have time for that! lol

The Slap looks like the most ridiculous premise in TV history. And the ratings seem to show for it. It plummeted out of the gate. So I'm out! lol

MJ said...

I was on the site yesterday and the verify thing would not display what it wanted me to type ! LOL

Slap - I agree which I why I did not watch either.

Grimm - Biest on Biest action - gotta love it. And here was Arnst! (Arzt) can't remember the spelling. LOL We were just talking about him !

Blacklist - feels the same to me. While I enjoy it it's never been a true fave. Had to laugh that NOW Liz has an issue with him profiting by the FBI actions. I've been saying that for 1.5 seasons now. I still say that the way he leads the FBI around on a chain is ridiculous - but Red is amusing to watch

Allegiance - I sampled it - didn't even finish the first episode.

Mike V. said...

Blacklist - That's about all that's amusing to watch sometimes! lol (Red)

Grimm - just watched...we usually comment on the next week's thread but I can comment here. lol Funny that you mentioned both Arzt and Arnst because Hurley called him Arnst when it was actually Arzt. lol Finally Juliette revealed what she is to Nick. Now we can move on! lol
