Fringe: Season 3 Episode 9 - Marionette (Discussion)

Hello Fringe Dwellers and Universe Hoppers alike! I believe I have given you all fair warning that I unfortunately am unable to recap this episode due to being on a much needed (and deserved) vacation! But, I didn't want this to prevent any other fans from discussing their thoughts! Feel free to talk about what you liked, disliked and any theories you may like to share. If you have spotted the observer or figured out the Glyph code for the week, share that too! I may update this post with some of my own "OBSERV'ER'ATIONS" when I finally get to the episode or at least a chance to write about it!

In the meantime, enjoy the episode and Happy Holidays!

Hey MJ, thanks for this link! Loved the promo and tweeted about it as well. Great to see FOX is going to back this show.

I'm back from vacation and it was awesome! Universal/Disney...all rocked! Of course, I'm shipping right back out for the holidays, so I didn't get a chance to fill out this and make it a recap of the episode. But I did watch the Fringe ep on the way down to Florida and loved it.

I think they did a good job with unfolding the drama of Olivia returning to a world where no one realized she was gone. And the case of the week helped add weight to the fact that Peter started a relationship with her alterna-self. Not to mention that the case was totally creepy!!

Glyph Code of the week was ADAPT

Observer was obviously at the end when he said "he's still alive." Was he talking about Walter, Peter??? Whatever it is, it is setting up the 2nd half of the season as we start getting into assembling this weapon and what will unfold from that. Sounds like we will revisit the characters we have come to know and love/hate in the Alternate World as well. Looking forward to the Friday return of Fringe!!

Not sure what I'm going to write about in the early weeks of January but I'm sure I'll think of something.

Happy Holidays to all and I'll see you soon!

I hope Olivia forgives Peter and they finally become an item. She was so rude to him, he didn't deserve it. How else was he suppose to know that she wasn't "his" Olivia. He found out that she wanted to be with him, so her changes would have been her commitment to their relationship. Good episode overall though.

Thanks for the comment Anonymous. Not sure if you've caught up with the latest 2 episodes since this one but this is definitely going to be one twisty rollercoaster of a ride with Olivia and Peter. As always with these will they/won't they storylines, the good drama and suspense is always in the "waiting" for the right opportunity for them to be together. There are a lot of hurdles thrown in there way and there will be more! When you see the next episodes, check out my recaps of those! the links are on the right hand side of the page!
